Clinic Policies

Payment

All acupuncture treatments are $20 per visit. At your first appointment, you will be charged a $10 paperwork fee as well. Full payment is due before each treatment. We prefer cash or checks if you’re able (helps keep costs down), but we will happily accept all major credit cards and HSA cards.

Cancellations & Missed Appointments

When you schedule an appointment, you’re making a commitment to show up! If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we require 12-hours notice. All appointments missed without notice or cancelled without 12-hours notice will be charged a $20 fee.

Clinic Etiquette

At Lilac City Acupuncture, we strive to keep the clinic atmosphere peaceful and scent-free. Please talk quietly (“library voices”) when in the clinic (including the waiting room!), and silence your cell phones (including vibration). Please also refrain from using heavily scented products (such as cologne, perfume, heavily scented lotions, etc) before coming to your appointment, and please do not smoke cigarettes before your appointment. You are welcome to bring headphones to listen to music, but please keep the volume to a level that cannot be heard by the person resting next to you.

Non-Discrimination

We at Lilac City Acupuncture strive to create a safe and comfortable space for everyone in our community. We welcome people of all genders, sexes, races, colors, incomes, national origins, ages, abilities or disabilities, marital statuses (legal or otherwise), familial situations, religions, sizes and shapes, sexual orientations, and political beliefs. Your level of care will never be based on any of these factors.

Insurance

We do not accept insurance. This is one of the ways we are able to keep our costs low (lower than most co-payments, in fact). Even if your medical benefits “cover acupuncture,” the diagnoses they’ll cover are often very limited, and they typically don’t cover very many treatments. When we remove the insurance factor, the control is placed back into the hands of your practitioner and YOU to decide what is the best course of treatment for your ailment.
